How can employees be engaged in creating professional digital solutions?

VW - case study

About the client

Volkswagen Poznań is a leader in the automotive industry in Poland and one of the largest employers in the region, employing nearly 10,000 people across four plants.

Challenge

As part of its strategic initiative #MissionDigitalization, Volkswagen Poznań set itself an ambitious goal: to make the creation of professional digital solutions accessible to a broad group of employees, including those outside IT departments. The aim was to unlock the organization’s innovation potential and support the digitalization of processes.

The challenge was to find a way to train large numbers of employees, inspire them to take action, and provide tools that would enable the fast and effective implementation of their own ideas.

Solution

The ITDev team, in cooperation with Volkswagen Poznań, designed and helped deliver a company-wide, one-of-a-kind event: the immersive Power Week 2023. It was an intensive week fully dedicated to low-code tools from the Microsoft Power Platform family: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

Our experts, together with speakers from Volkswagen Poznań, delivered a series of online training sessions for staff. The main objective of the initiative was to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge and to encourage participants to use Power Platform tools in their daily work.
